Replacing the paddle shifters on a DSG wheel

Way down the list of things to sort, but I thought I'd ask the question...

The paddles, out of the factory are dire. I keep missing them. That said I also seem to tap the indicator stalk instead of the active cruise... one touch indicators are a terrible idea ;)

Anyhow I tried; really hard, to drive for a day on the paddles. It was better than when I started, but still not; nice?

So I got to thinking about the paddles, I found these: https://www.s2tpp.com/VW.html via vw R forums...

I know a lot of folk have the stick on ones and enthuse over how much better the experience is...

I was thinking about them until I saw a post or two on how they broke the underlying paddle, which is a considerable expense to replace.

I doubt I'll be 'tracking' the superb, so this is purely for better enjoyment out on the a & b roads of our great nation.

Thoughts?

They look like a lovely bit of kit, although somewhat expensive. I'm looking to get some stick on ones for my mk2 Octavia, do you know if the stick on ones from Wish, ebay etc are all universal?

I brought a pair of these from Briskoda for sale section https://www.shopleyomotorsport.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=79&product_id=108

& absolutely love them, very well made, strong & easy to change gear from the lower half especially when going round bends or roundabouts etc, also they screw via a grub screw which catches in line with the existing paddles so they dont mark them either.

I have mine in black, sometimes you might find a set on ebay but only found these ones. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Leyo-Motorsport-PD-Paddle-Skoda-DSG-Billet-Paddle-Shift-Extension-Black-PSD001B/264559658494?hash=item3d98fc05fe:g:qqYAAOSw-qld7BSA

Check a few youtube vids of the paddles & if you like them, maybe send the ebay seller an offer!

£12 from china and took 3 weeks to get here, Albeit stick on and to use my own sticky tape these have been on for around 4 months now.
