well ive had my vx220 turbo now for 3 days. so i thought i would write a little road test style article for all u guys and gals.

exterior:

the cars is fantastic to look at. everytime i look at it, it honeslty makes me want to drive it. the curves are in all the right places and its got sharp lines where it needs aswell. the twin exhaust at the rear makes the car look and sound gorgeous and i have really fallen for the looks of vx.

interior:

the interior is basic as u can imagine/know. though the plastics (though very little of it) do not rattle and feel tbh of a good quality.the leather seats are as comfy as any and hold you very tight, so if your cornering a bit quick theres no shift in the chair.

on the road:

this is where the car really really shines. the handling is tbh is out of this world. it shows just how bad the fabia and octavia are in comparison. there is next to no body roll and the seats do hold you tight. the engine note inside the engine is fantastic. vrooom whooooosh . i really can feel what every single tyre is doing through the steering wheel, the turn in is sharp and will literally go where u point.

it will go over speed bumps more comfortably than the fabia which was a suprise but potholes the vx is not so good at. the performance is unreal. 0-60... 4.6 seconds and i think 0-100 in 12 seconds. the mid range is astonishing. i know it is quicker than the fabia and octy 2 vrs. the gear change is a little bit rough. though a quick action can be had due to the short shift. the gears go in with a very reassuring clunk

the fuel economy is suprisingly good. i put 25 quid of bp ultimate on tuesday. ive travelled about 200 miles and ive still got 2 bars of 6 left.

overall im very very happy and the car makes me feel as if im a celebrity with the amount of attention and good comments i have recieved.

the only shortfall of the car is getting in and out of it.

the smiles per mile atm are priceless

Just to clarify - Engines on VX220s are not prone to falling out - it is merely a semi-humorous comment relating to the car being up in the air and the engine being on the floor.

Is there any storage int car? (typical question from an Octy driver)

Yes, there is a small boot behind the engine. Big enough for an overnight bag or 4-5 bags from the supermarket.

Were those pictures of the engine after they forgot to fix it back in and it fell out on the way home ?
