Hello All,

 

I am just finalising a deal for VRS estate challenge, I will be parting with my current VRS diesel estate 64plate. I carry two sets of wheels winter and summer - does anyone knows if standard 18inch skoda wheels will fit to challenge model, read somewhere you need minimum 19inch to clear brakes? Can not be I have a  Toyota Supra, as my weekend toy with big brake kit  and discs like a frying pan! and they seat under 18inch wheels. 😁

 

Reason I am asking I asked SKoda dealership to swop wheels upon completion. Any help would be appreciated , planning to clear deal this weekend!

18inch wheels for vRS in my country is by default. You can get Extremes(19''), but in my country that's asking for it. vRS red brakes should allow 17'', but Skoda doesn't provide official 17'' wheels though. I don't think that challenge model has larger red brakes than regulars vRS 245.

Challenge brakes are no larger than regular brakes, there is no mechanical difference between the normal 245. 18’s will fit

Cyprus spec MKIII Vrs has 17" wheels as standard, " Dorado's " I ran a set as winter wheels

Great, another thing not available in Baltics.. Proper third world countries..

That local dealer told me that there is no option to get 17''..

He probably means there isn't a way to spec the car with 17" wheels from the factory. There are plenty of official 17" wheels available to order as additional Skoda accessories though.

No , I asked them after I bought the car. They said that 17'' is only for regular Octavia.
