New Windscreen needed...............

Featured Replies

Cars booked in with Auto Glass in Hull next Tuesday ( 21 Jan 29 ) for a new windscreen and camera Calibration. Had a large stone fly up from a passing wagon and it's put 2 large bullseyes on the passenger side of the screen. The screen is a Skoda screen made by Pilkingtons. Same spec as the Skoda OEM one but no Skoda logo on the glass. Does the glass come with the camera/auto lights and wiper housing already fitted ?

Anyone used Auto Glass in Hull for a windscreen replacement ?

When I had my screen replacement done I requested a Skoda screen, Autoglass ordered it from TPS and it came with the Skoda logo and everything else. I refused to accept an "aftermarket screen" from Autoglass. The pic is from a discussion I had with andyvee when I had my screen replacement done

How annoying. The camera/lights housing was transferred to both of  the 2 Heated front windscreens replaced by Autoglass...I think through my insurance. I had to pay for the 1st calibration at Skoda for £125 as I insisted on having it repaired in my works car park.  The 2nd replacement was done and camera calibrated at their centre I.e. free of extra charge. I did think there were a couple more squeaks from the dash in cold weather after the replacements.
