Leak into passenger footwell

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I've got a 15 plate Octavia VRS Estate. Every time it rains the driver's side passenger footwell gets wet. In heavy rain it gets very wet. I've been to my local garage twice, to the nearest Skoda dealer once, had the drainage holes cleaned out and the membrane resealed, and it's still leaking.

Has anyone else had this problem, and found a solution?

Thanks!

do you have a panoramic sunroof ? that has a known issue.

You're a legend! Thanks very much.

i don't know about that, I was just researching any issues with them myself and had those in my history.

hope its a simple fix !

Might be...my dad's Passat B8 had the same issue 2-3 months ago, so we cleaned the drainage tubes in the front and in the back and the problem has gone as far as I know.

By way of update, it was the panoramic roof that was the problem. Thanks again for the heads up on this. It looks like I may finally have a solution!

Does anyone know if the drains can be cleared from the top of the car or must it be done from the bottom? I understand this involves removing the bumper.

Workshop manual says that it should be cleared from the bottom, not from the top, but yes, rear bumper has to be removed. However, the manual also states that installation of new hoses does not require to take off the rear bumper. I think you might be able to reach the lower end behind the cover of rear fenders. We did the same with Passat.
