Fabia bonnet lifter is GO!

Been told yesterday that if enough orders come in, there could be a price drop, as it enables the Company to make bulk orders and save on costs (economies of scale)

So, people already on the order list might find the amount payable dropping, and anyone who is added to the list too. It'll be given its first public demonstration at the C&F meet, so get along there!

Sounds good

Jase any ideas of how much of a price drop there may be. I wasn't going to get one just yet, but could maybe be tempted if the price drop was significant enough.

With the savings, perhaps £5. As the majority of the cost is involved in the bracket and its creation, the savings through buying other bits in bulk is never going to be that much. Its that damned bracket which is keeping the price up. Its a feat of engineering that shouldn't really be necessary, but for the Fabia, it is. :)

Thanks, how close to the magic 50 are we at the mo?

Only at 7.... Not quite the demand I imagined for a unique product. :D

My Ebay marketing auction is taking quite a lot of hits though.

I thought I read in somewhere you were into double figures

Hullo all

Just to confirm (as its all linked to in my signature ;)) the new price for this lifter kit is £45! Keep those orders coming in! All those already on the list have had £5 knocked off the value to pay. :) And all future orders will be at £45.

I reckon that once the first folks have theirs fitted and post rave reviews then it'll really take off.

I can't be the only one who's hanging back to see.

I will get one eventually and like youve said its not a group buy so theres no rush.

Just a quick note to say the final bits of the kits are imminently going to be ready. The brackets are ready pretty much. It looks like shipping will be around the Monday to Wednesday of the week after RTTS - so is going to be more like end of May, than mid-May. Sorry about that.

I'll email everyone on the order list during next week to give contact details to sort out payment for them all. :)

Cheers, looking forward to it ;) - I can't even remember what payment option I went for, IIRC using a credit or debit card was ok though wasn't it?

I need to get it delivered to my work addie which is different from my home addie :o - just in case they don't like that for cc I'd have to pay by cheque or something

Right - after everyone waiting so long. :D It's all coming together. Those that had ordered before, should have an email asking for confirmation - been so long I bet many have sold their cars already. Please reply a.s.a.p to get yourself on the new order list. :)

Details still valid as per post 1 on this thread, and the link in my signature.

Any questions. Happy to answer here or by PM.

Didn't think my email addy would be a spam filter target. have added you in as well. I still have around 12 people who've not replied to me yet.

Would this work on a Mk4 Ibiza?

Umm. Would need to see one to know really. Any chance of an open bonnet shot, with particular focus on the wing area, and the where the bonnet catch hangs on the bonnet itself? In particular though, the wing area, right down from by the airbox, down to the area just behind the headlight. :)

Will see what I can sort out

It's pushing it to be honest. It would need two bolts for the wing and headlight to be in exactly the same place (to with 2 or 3 mm at most) and have a similar exact distance from the wing, to under the rubber bonnet liner and down into the bonnet. :)

cant see the pics
