When I press the boot open button on my remote, the boot only pops open and does not fully rise. Is this a common issue and does this mean I need to replace the struts? 

If so, has anyone done this or have a tutorial, oh, and price for these??

Mine has always been like that since I bought it at 14 months old/14k miles

 

I used this quick write-up and managed it without too much hassle. If I can do it, anyone can! But have a good read and try to get hold of some plastic pry tools (and maybe some replacement clips!).
