Roomster wipers not working

Featured Replies

I have just purchased a 2007 Roomster the front wipers are not working wiper motor works ok when tested rear wipers are working front and rear washers are working have changed stalk but still the same would appreciate any advice

When you tested the motor I assume to applied power directly to the motor?

Do you have a multimeter? If so check if there is power getting to the motor as you flick through the different stalk positions.

Yes Fuses are ok thanks for reply

Have you checked the metal links that join the wipers to the motor are not disconnected? Usually, this happens to the right hand side, drivers wiper (U.K.)

The connection rod tends to wear out at the ball joint and just pop off. New rods are cheap from the main dealer.

Could be the relay within the Vehicle voltage control unit.  Unfortunately soldered in, but possible to change. Alternatively swap out the whole module with a secondhand one (many hundreds new, I'm sure).

I've done a little guide in the Fabia guides section, for relay replacement.  I guess it will be similar in your car.

Thanks for update Imy mechanic thinks it's the voltage unit. How do I obtain the codes from the original and install them on replacement unit

A VCDS scan will give you the coding.
