Bosch double platinum spark plugs at £7.78 each or £31.10 for a set of 4 OK?

From my local Motor Factors.

They want changing at 40,000 miles.

Did mine at the third fixed service at £37500 miles.

Thanks AG Falco

I just bought a set of NGK - same as fitted at factory, but a later version as the original versions have been superseded, via a sparkplug seller on ebay, and they turned out to be VW AG branded versions, for £30.

I seem to like NGK all my VW Group cars have had them fitted at factory so I just stick with that brand.

My 1.2tsi 110 Fabia will be 3 years old this March, and covered 15k miles. Would I need to change my spark plugs next year (year 4)?

Yes, air cleaner and spark plugs changed at 4 years is the general VW Group recommendation for this engine.

You mean air filter element (engine)?

Yes.

You have to remove the air box to change the filter (stupid screws on the bottom of the air box) and also get access to the plugs so makes sense to do together.
