service interval tolerances

Featured Replies

fixed interval service : by how many km am i allowed to exceed 15,000km before Skoda try to void a future mechanical warranty claim ?

It's normally 1,000 miles and/or 30 days. That's what I've been quoted in the past with my Honda, Nissan and an extended warranty company.

If it's not in your service documents, send an email to Skoda Customer Services.

By rights, in the UK, Skoda would be able to void your warranty if you were as little a 1 day / mile outside of the service stipulations according to their new car warranty...

Their used car warranty however is a little more specific...

If you choose to have the Service Indicator set to Fixed Service Intervals, the Car still left the factory set for Variable / Flexible servicing and came with Long Life oil.

(Unless different in NZ)

So by going over 15,000 km you are not invalidating the Manufacturers warranty.

If the engine does not have Long Life oil that is a different kettle of whale oil.
