Felicia 1.3 MPG Comparing Thread

Featured Replies

Hello All

I thought it a good Idea to start a thread to compare the MPG gained on a 1.3MPi Felicia.

I get on a day to day basis 33mpg (Mainly town and a 14 mile round journey to work + Back)

On a long journey 37mpg to 38mpg obsverving speed limits.

I tend to change gear at 2,500rpm to 3,000rpm.

Any reponses to this thread will be good.

My wife has a 1.3 GLi. If I get anything under 45 mpg I'd be disappointed. My old 1.6 GLX estate never dropped under 40 mpg, ever.

Before 30,000 mile service = 45mpg; after, 40mpg.

Ditto Fabia 1.4 100bhp.

Why?

QuetzVRS[/quote'] i would think 37mpg to 38mpg with a 1.3 felicia on a long journey is very poor , i now have a 1.3 mpi felicia but not sure yet as to what mpg is , but with my previous car a vw 2l passat i was getting around 40 mpg with that on a long journey , so i would expect the felicia to be better than that .

Hi All

Well to be honest I think it may be better after changing the thermostat, as this is supposed to make the ECU pump in more fuel and therefore poor mpg.

I just needed to hear what others got before I spend the cash in a thermostat (Saving for a new Car and All..... and hate Finance...lol) which makes me tight as heck :D

I will be going for a Yaris 1.4D-4D 90bhp or a Fabia 100bhp Diesel or Fabia VRS. But not for 12 - 18 months time. So need to keep this junk opperational..... lol

My previous motor was a Peugeot 205 GRD, I got 50 - 55 to the gallon not matter how I drove.... lol so this car is killing me :(
