Stealing catalytic converters is a dangerous game to play.

Oh well no great loss there.

Our 'car blogger' in the video makes a right turn with a very rare Citroen Ami waiting to emerge and doesn't even notice it - I suspect he wouldn't have known what it was.....

Indeed - CAT's off hybrids, body panels off Land Rovers, bumpers off Golf's and Corsa's, steering wheels off all types of motor - all get spirited away in the night around here.

We need more of these scroats meeting a sticky end whilst in the act.

Regarding the cat thefts though. It's not just the cost of replacing the cat, it's the added cost of having to replace the exhaust before and after the cat because the thieving ******s are cutting them off and on top of that the damage to the chassis as I can guarantee they aren't jacking the cars up with and care and attention.

sorry, even with skipping through the video listening to odd bits I lost the will to live 🙁

Once in a while I watch an informative video that says at the start what its going to show/describe and then just gets on with it in a brief concise manner, the rest are all like that and dont get watched.

How long would it take one of your friends to express his opinion on exhausts and to describe the new (to him) phenomenon of theft of catastrophic convertors?

I guarantee you if it were 18 minutes or even 2 minutes you would avoid them like the plague in future.

I know, the video is absolute garbage. I watched a few seconds here and there before blacking out. Its just 18 minutes of pure whiney get to the bloody point crap. For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, the bloke doesn't like fake exhausts or fake exhaust sounds but loves the sound of his big diesel audi with fake exhausts and fake exhaust sound 🙄 then stretches out a story of a friends mum who watched her catalytic converter being stolen.

Glad its not just me then

Do these Vloggers or whatever they call themselves actually get paid for producing stuff like that or are we indirectly paying them by clicking on it?

There is some genuinely good content out there but on the flip side there's an awful lot of trash. It tends to start off well and meaningful, but once the producer of said content starts getting a following they start getting a bit above themselves and the quality starts to decline.

Or they succumb to the lure of ad revenue and rush out crap instead of taking time to do things right.

Get pipular enough for monetisation by youtube then churn as much crap as you can.

Then get paid x/1000 views and see how much you can make out of it..

Kids content is probably the easiest way... toddlers in particular will happily rewatch the same ****pile on repeat...

Anyeay, cat convertor thefts are on the up because the value of palladium has more than doubled recently. My wedding ring is currently worth at least 3.5times its value when i bought it in 2012 ...

Can't say I'll miss it. There is so much crap on YouTube I blocked youtube (not that easy) on his tablet then eventually took the tab away it was just full of garbage. This was before the press coverage of the auto generated cartoon torture animations. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-trending-39381889

I occasionally look for a car review or something but there are 100 rich kids with free cars reviewing 'stuff'  for every Bob Flavin. I tried to find a decent review of a RR Velar last night but you've got to go through all the 12yr olds raving about ICE and alloys before you get to someone that's actually driving the ****ing thing.

Bob and Doug DeMuro about about the only ones I watch (Chris Harris as well but less so these days).
