I've read on here that a factory order is 10-12 weeks, been to 3 dealers now just testing the water and been told 3 different things....

Dealer 1) Need to order in April for then to get it for August then i can have it sept 1st.

Dealer 2) Order at the beginning of June as there is a 10-12 delivery time for factory orders + the max they can guarante a p/x price is 3 months...

Dealer 3) Delivery time 8 weeks max so order early July!

I do have a part ex so i will need a guaranted price for when the vRS comes. I'm thinking to just go and order one at the beginning of June and shop around and make sure i can get a guaranted price for mine.... Is this the best option??:confused:

It's got as much to do with the spec you order as anything else. Depending on the options you could wait the full build and delivery time. If you're just after metallic paint and a CD changer you're more likely to have a shorter wait.

Perhaps if you give an idea of what spec you're looking to order you might get some better qualified answers.

Sorry forgot about that. I'm defo having Xennons and Cruise control and then esp and heated seats depending on what i get for my p/x and the best deal i can get. So i think is defo a factory order...

I would suggest any dealer worth his salt would be willing to take your order at any time. Once you agree a delivery date then it's up to them to ensure it arrives on time.

I will need a gaurranteed p/x price, is 3months the normal limit on these things?? :confused:

Only you and your chosen dealer can reach that agreement mate. You can sit here asking and summising all day long but until you make contact with your dealer then it's all supposition.

Fair enough stu! My current car isn't paid for until 25th May, i have a week off work at the beginning of June so i'll Fabia vRS shopping that week ready to put a deposite down given the right deal.

Luckily now production has ended CTR's values are pretty stable.... until next year when the new one comes!

I allowed 12 weeks for my vrs that I got in march. It was a factory order because of the heated seats and I made sure the dealer knew I wouldn't accept delivery until march 1rst. It ended up arriving with them about 10 days before hand.
