I Found the VCDS code for activating DRL rear lights as below:

Enabling rear lights with DRLs

Controller 09 - Central Electronics

16 - Security Access - enter 31347

10 - Adaptations

(6)-Daytime running lights-Tagfahrlicht-Dauerfahrlicht aktiviert zusaetzlich Standlicht - change to active

But does this mean, that I have to disable this also?

Enabling DRLs only on AUTO - disable instead

Controller 09 - Central Electronics

16 - Security Access - enter 31347

10 - Adaptations

(9)-Daytime running lights-Tagfahrlicht nur in Schalterstellung AUTO - change to ?????

There is no mentioning of this, but wouldn’t it make sense to disable auto, when enabling always?

The second adaption is when DRL-s are on only when light switch is turned to Auto position. For example if you turn it to 0 (off) the DRL go out.

So keep focusing only to first chapter.

Great, thanks again.

I have my rear lights lit all the time ( 245 Vrs ) but the number plate lights only come on with the dipped beam lit in auto. If you have the number plate lights lit all the time the Green Auto symbol is lit on the switch as the Auto lights think your dipped beams on on.

" Does that make sense " ?

@snowatom

Do you have auto high beam?

You might be interested in turning it always on (after every restart you have to turn it on manually).

@linni I have no idea. What does it do, and how can I check it?

It switches high and low beam for you.

Push lights stalk and see if a symbol A appears inside the high beam symbol.

Ahh. I have that. I had no idea that is was called high beam. Totally different wording in Danish. Where can I find the VCDS codes, could be interesting to setup.

Now, eery time you switch the ignition off, the Auto High Beam switches off. You start the engine, you have to pull th stalk first to get Auto beam activated.

With this adaption the Auto high beam is always on (if switch in Auto position):

Controller 09 – Central Electronics
16 - Security Access - enter 31347 (or 20113, if first doesn`t work)
10- Adaptations
Change ENG141650-ENG116639-Fernlicht_assistent Fernlichtassistent Reset” from “aktiv” to “nicht aktiv”
