Retrofitting rear parking sensors on a fl 62 plate cr TDI vrs

Featured Replies

Hello again! Any help in this much appreciated , can the rear parking sensors be retrofitted to my fl 62 plate vrs! Could I purchase a rear bumper same colour with sensors and then have it coded in somehow!! Mabey! Are the wires needed there does anyone know?? Once again thanks for any help in advance

Certainly possible but the wiring won't be there :)

You can either replace the bumper or make holes in your existing bumper. You can get sticky pads that'll go on the inside of the bumper to hold the sensors in place.

Here's an example kit: https://www.cars-equipment.com/en/shop/park-assistent-sets-kits-4/oem-rear-parktronic-skoda-octavia-2/

edit:

You can also use a tool like this for the hole making: https://www.cars-equipment.com/en/shop/park-assist-parts-5/oem-bea000001-tool-for-cutting-out/

Ah thanks, I wouldn't like to start messing around with the bumper tbh , thought a oem numbers with the sensors would have went it and plugged in mabeys, thanks again for the help👍🏼

There’s a company on the net who supply and fit a close colour match with separate beeper display for around £100. Or kit is about half that for DIY. They still look original although they are proud on the bumper.

May even be on eBay

That’s a dirt cheap kit

a quick google and prices vary 100-160 fitted.

I have this dilemma buying cars. The Leon we purchased in 2018 had what appears to be retro fitted sensors with a dash box with lights and numbers. It has an annoying beep and no radio display. Having dismissed so many cars without. We had to give in as they do the job fine and being colour coded don’t look bad IMHO.
