Hello everyone, i have a issue or a glitch with the hatch lock, which i was almost certain the lock is packing up but not so sure anymore.

 

Few weeks back i unlocked the car, went to open the boot and would not open no feel to the button, no noise tho i was pressing it. I locked and unlocked the car a few times with no joy, anyway i went to the car 5 miles to a shop stopped, went to the boot and worked as it should.

 

2 days ago got home from shopping with a full boot took some bags closed it but did not unlock the car 20 seconds later or less i could not open it again.... Tried for 5 minutes nothing... Took some bags by folding rear seats went back to the car just opened...  Every time sice would not open till today i discovered if i press the boot button long on the fob( which is mean only to open the boot when car is locked and that works every time....

 

I was shuffling the net today and noticed passat b8 has this failing completely which i thought is my case as parts are shared.

 

Any ideas? Car is just over 3 years and 113k miles. 

I too have this problem. Did you ever resolve it?
