How's this for beading?

Featured Replies

Gave the old girl a wash and brush up for the Spring yesterday. Been out today and just got home after a shower (in the Octy) - got back to this sight - I think it's quite impressive for her age, and the relative cheapness of the products used (Simoniz Original wax) :D

that paintwork looks spotless, Nick.

Only a light shower then i take it?

oh, and can you let the tyres down on that Berlingo next door. Ta.

A fine motor indeed

Looks spotless!

Nice tight beads there...

Car looks mint, nice one Nick.

Nice motor! My stepdad had one brand new - DYD69T. Sadly it died in the early 80s after a drunk driver ploughed into it and wrote it off.

I am of course assuming yours is a B and not a C (I'd not know the difference TBH)

My first decent car was an MG although not a proper one (an Austin Rover one)

The MGC used the straight six C-Series engine, as shared with the Austin 3-Litre and you can tell them apart by the C having a strange bulge at the front of the bonnet.

That looks a really nice example. It's really unusual to see one that colour, what colour is it?

See those two MGs blatting around the circuit yesterday?!

Find out what they were?

Your MG looks nice and clean though - quite a rarity now I should imagine?

Nope, it's not rare at all - there are thousands. (It's Damask Red btw).

The two on circuit yesterday were both rebuilds with heritage shells, and 4.6 ltr V8s. The green one had home built rear suspension with fibreglass springs, panhard rods and anti-tramp bars - didn't ask about the blue one.

Great classic British motor ! Nice one.
