It isn't possible for the odometer to be changed from miles to kilometers without the use of VCDS or OBDeleven etc.

Oh yes it is!😀 (said in a pantomine voice)

@silver1011  On the 23rd of January 2020 a UK MOT examiner put the miles on the garages computer and issued a pass.

They never put it in km's on the MOT.

I doubt greatly they read the k/m and then made the conversion to miles.

Maybe some person actually did a pre-sales service and PDI and changed or tried to change the service indicator.

Had all the gear and not fully the idea.

Yes, you can change the general units via Maxidot, but you can’t change the digital speedo to km/h without VCDS.

The miles/km thing and insular Contrôle Technique examiners not realising there are other measuring systems and units than metric comes in handy when you have limited kilometrage insurance.

evans halshaw buy lots of tat from small traders and then put on their forecourts.

I should know, theyve sought two of my ****ters in the past and sold them as warrantied cars.

That is their business model.  They buy in direct from owners as well.

Luckily a member from Briskoda bought a duff 1.8 TSI and went about getting his consumer rights honoured and the Yeti got a new engine.

I always hope that those that buy the likes of MK2 Fabia vRS's with duff engines that Briskoda members sold to EH are as lucky in getting a full refund, or new engine.

There are a fair few bad ones that they did buy from Briskoda members in the last few years.

Ones that Skoda should have bought in and scrapped.
