Possible to Code Out Bulb Warnings?

Featured Replies

So yes, I have used the search function, and I'm still not 100% clear. Can bulb warnings be coded out with VCDS or something else?
I'm happy to pay and travel to have this done. I just want to know if it can be.

Probably not, but why don't you just replace the faulty bulb?

The bulb isn’t out, it’s an LED replacement that’s meant to be CANbus Friendly and show no errors.

Which bulbs have you replaced?

Pretty sure the number plate lights can be done with VCDS but others will probably need VCP or similar.

The reverse lights, to help light up backing onto my drive and one of the number plate lights, has been replaced with a camera whoch has an LED to replace the original light.

Reverse lights will be VCP or similar only, VCDS won't help.

VCDS should be able to sort the LED number plate light though :)

Just for info, I've just fitted these in the reverse lights and no warnings. Very bright and they do versions with more leds in them, not sure if that will make much difference, but these compared to standard are far better

For the number plate lights, i got a pair or cabled capicitors to avoid bulb errors

Thanks, I was actually looking at these myself. Do you have a MK2? I might give these a try then.
