Hello All

I would like all who can to give me any issues you have had with a Fabia 1.9TDi 100bhp and the Fabia VRS. No matter how minor it is, I will be very greatful to you all.

I recommend doing it in a list format, to cut down time for you to write it :D You need not write to much detail on eac issue. I really do not want to take to much of your time, but thank you all in advance :D

Why?

They're too damned reliable :grumpy: :thumbdwn:

No really they are! :(

i bet hes the w4nker selling the fabioa faults Ebook on ebay ;o)

If you do a search for common problems there are loads of threads that should help you.

Never had any problems with my Fabia VRS.

i've had a few, but nothing warranty work can't fix.

look at the sticky posts at the top of the fabia forum, i think the most common problems will be found there (seats for example).

Same here, just minor quibbles but very reliable on the whole.

Well since there is no reason why we should bitch about his request..

1) Rear sidelight is temperamental about working; takes a slight thud to knock it back on.

Changed bulbs 9 times, did wheel alingment 3 times(crappy roads), driver seat is squealing, have a couple of dashboard squeals and that's about it.

True' date=' but it does look suspect ;) especially if this is them

But that would make us the "the experts that work on this specific model everyday"

And, if they wanted to, they could find the answer to their request by a few searches, then they can compose their own one liners :D

Fluff'

Also owners may not want to post about all the issues they have had, especially if they are wanting to sell their car and someone comes across this post.

No problems at all with mine (Fabia Vrs)

I guess it depends how much of the car is still standard!

I had the following problems (that I can remember) with my 3 year old Fabia Elegance PD100:

1) Driver's heated seat elements failed (53k miles)

2) Temp Evaporator Sensor failed (result air con didn't work) (55k miles)

3) Track-rod end severely worn (picked up at 60k miles)

4) Clutch pedal and housing snapped (67k miles)

5) Driver's seat "dangerously" loose (picked up at MOT) (75k miles)

6) The seals on one of the brake calipers were not sealed

I'm also not convinced the mirror heaters were working but my dealer told me they were so I'll have to believe them

Hi All

Thanks for the response's, and no I am not a '******' selling e-books on that evil EBay site !!! (But I will state I am a ****** !!!)

The reason is, I am considering buying a Fabia TDi 100 or a Fabia VRS. And it is always a good idea to get a feel for a cars quirks, not only to assess the viability of the purchase, but also to help me keep a better eye on the general maintainance and ensuring the vehicle remains in excelent condition to better help a good resale in the future :D

To those worried that people will see this thread and therefore hampering your resale, I would say that you have something to hide from the general community. I would hereby suggest you take a page out of my book and be honest with people. In the long run it will reduce any comeback from the person you sell it too.

However if you have issue's and feel more comfortable, please Private Message me your issue's :D

However the issue's raised seem resonable for the average motor. So the car is definately an interest to me. However there is other motors of interest and I will be making post in relevant forums.

Anyhow I would like to thank you all for responding. Any more feedback is greatfully recieved :D
