Hi, I'm an owner of 2017 Skoda Octavia SE L Estate. I would like to change all of my interior lights including footwell lights from standard yellow bulbs to white possibly LED lights. In your opinion what is the best way to do it and where is the best place to buy it from?? Main dealer or possibly Ebay or Amazon and what's the best product would be?? Thanks in advance.

Arh - well - here is an interesting thing.  They use the same incandestent bulb and holder as in the boot - and therefore, you just need to go onto Superskoda.com and order a couple of boot lights and replace them for a whiter cleaner look and feel.

I looks really cool but the price is a bit high.

I would personally stick with SuperSkoda bulbs or OE spec equivalent such as Philips or Osram.  Yes the price is high but that usually reflects in some level of R&D and quality control. 

 

I tried fitting some LED's from a 'trusted' seller on eBay with plenty of items sold and 100% feedback.  Well, one of the interior lights blew, melted the housing and had a good go at starting a fire with the roof lining.  Luckily I managed to spot it sparking out of the corner of my eye.  It was in the rear of the car but my 12 year old son was sitting just in front of it, in the front seat.  It would have resulted in a fire, no doubt at all. 

 

 

Oh nooooo I absolutely agree with you. I won't be buying it of any unsafe seller and I even thought Ebay won't be a good idea. I'm not that desperate on that and can live with that yellow ish ones. I thought that buying it from the dealer might be safe and a bit cheaper. Thanks anyway for your comment and I'm glad your car is ok.
