Hi folks

 

Does anyone have the correct part number for a 2012 Superb (KX61 XNM) for a ballast control unit?  The ballast itself is ok, the control unit I think is under the headlamp.

 

Is it 8K0941597E?

You can get them after market from Amazon

Mines was this type  5DV 009 000-00
2012 with xenons for D1s bulbs
I got mine for £30 but they are up to £40 now

Hiya, I believe that is the ballast itself is ok, the other headlamp is fine (good ballast swapped over to faulty headlamp, still nothing)

 

I'm told there is also a control unit beneath the headlamp for the ballast?

The ballast (Control Unit) is under the headlight
Did you remove the part I have linked to and swapped that over?

 

It's not my car so asking for the owner. He mentioned the ballast is behind the bulb  which is ok and the control unit is below the headlamp. Definitely only one box of gubbins per headlamp then? Thanks

Look at this post 2nd one down show you pic of underside and what the controllers do👍
The seal goes on the glass to plastic and lets water in which ends up at the lowest point 
Yip you guessed it the ballast 
easy enough to seal when the headlight is out

Thanks very much I have passed this information on! I don't think the ballast has been swapped just the box on the back of the lamp
