Adding to the black pack!

Featured Replies

I’m looking at adding to the black pack that came with my car.

I’ve seen a couple of vRS cars that have come with black spoilers, was this an OEM option or aftermarket?

I’d like to get this wrapped gloss black along with the roof. I’m also considering a full set of gloss black badges from SuperSkoda as opposed to using Plastidip which is Matt.

I think this colour combo looks great on the Meteor Grey cars whereas I have a 17 plate Race Blue vRS. Any pictures for reference would be great.

The black spoiler is an MY20 thing, so have a check on AutoTrader etc for ones in the colour you want such as

I can’t find any blue ones now but it is a good luck :)

Can recommend Superskoda badges I've had the bonnet & boot emblem badges and wheel centre caps for about 30 months now.

Once washed they look like new

@themanwithnoaim I think i’ll go for a set of these to include the Skoda, Octavia and vRS badges.

I’m looking at getting the bonnet and boot badges that are colour coded Race Blue but I can only see one option on the SuperSkoda website.

If I order 2 will they fit both bonnet and boot or are these separate items?

Bonnet & boot emblem badges are the same size on all Mk3's & there's a  pull down box for colour selection

My Ex 66 plate Meteor Grey Pre FL 230  Vrs came with a Black Spoiler from the Factory.  So not just as MY20 thing.  Not all Pre Fl 230 Hatch models had black spoilers.

Nice! As I said, this looks great on the Meteor Grey cars.

As far as I’m aware, the black spoiler was supposed to come with the PFL 230 if they had the glass roof and some were delivered with colour coded ones in the end. MY20 cars are getting it standard. Found a blue one for comparison.

I have a friend with a Meteor grey Pre FL 230, Pan roof with a grey spoiler.  I think it was pot luck what colour spoiler you got

Grey spoiler on mine, although it's got a normal roof.

Tbh, I don't really get the whole black spoiler thing.  Looks out of place stuck on the back IMO.

I do like the black roof though, it joins the two windscreens together so looks good.

Anything comes back in fashion if you wait long enough :D

All those days desperately trying to 'colour-code' bits of old Ford to match with rattle cans, to make them look 'modern'. now trying equally desperately to get the bloody stuff off because these days they need to be original and black. should have just waited :notme:

This is true.  I've if the first things I did when I got my Accord was get the grille sprayed black as I hated the chrome.

Give it a while and chrome will be back too!  I won't like it mind

Im not so sure on this .... Black front grill a deffo yes but that spoiler I think looks like a bit of an afterthought.  What else do you get on black pack?

The wing mirror caps and front grille surround come in black however the mirror caps appear to be painted metallic with the grille moulded to give a gloss finish.

I’m going to guess that those black spoilers are metallic too. If someone could confirm this that would be great.

Me too. The way it seemed to creep onto MY20 cars makes me think there would have been a few surprises come collection day for some and it's certainly a bit marmite and can look a bit aftermarket on some coloured cars in my opinion. I'm not liking it on the red, grey or blue at all tbh.
