I was going to say that I'm hopefully picking up my Skodiaq tomorrow but SWMBO just got home and she's received an email from the dealer confirming the car has been delivered today and is with the internal preparation team and will either be ready tomorrow or Thursday and he's going to personally deliver it with a tank of fuel for the inconvenience (we were supposed to pick it up last Thursday but the transportation was delayed ,something to do with the delivery of the 20 plates) but they have one for me to test drive with the same engine and gearbox ( I was supposed to do that last Thursday as well but it never arrived) as it's going to be mostly my vehicle. All I know about it is that it's an approved used vehicle with about 5k on it and is the 1.5 tsi manual transmission in petrol blue and 7 seats and is the sel trim with and was hard for them to find with those specifications. All I can say is I'm excited to get my hands on my first skoda and will post more when I know more.

@Krispyfried hope you enjoy the car, I have an SEL and it’s a good trim level with the LED headlights which are great.

Have a search on the forum for what to check on picking up a new (or used) car to make sure you have your umbrella etc, and there’s plenty on Skoda connect and SIMs if you want it.

5k is virtually nothing, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy a good saving over new.

Enjoy

Bit of an update.

My wife went down to the dealer today and signed all the paperwork for the Kodiaq😊unfortunately I wasn't allowed to go with her as I've been placed on lockdown 😥I'm asthmatic and so am considered high risk and my wife is a senior nurse  at the J.R and so was having none of my "it'll be fine love I'm sure I'll be ok we won't be out for long" which when used with my puppy dog eyes usually gets her to bend to my will ( I did get her to agree the Kodiaq as my little runaround using similar tactics, but I'm a SAHD and have 3 kids so it was kind of a logical choice) I do now have a reg no (it has '69' in it which appealed to my more juvenile side😂) and it's done 4.1k but no spec sheet for the car so I don't know what, if any optional extras it has but I'm going to e-mail them tomorrow and see if they can furnish me with one. They are currently cleaning the Beast and fully sanitising it against this infernal joy killing virus and will have a brief handover when its delivered on Thursday or Friday, which I guess will be a "here's the keys have a quick look to check it over" and I'm off type of affair as it's a driver and not the salesman, who told her hes got one himself and offered to do a video tour for me but she told him " Hes got 12 weeks to sit and play with it so he can figure it out  for himself" and I have already started reading the owners manual which I downloaded so I'll have a bit of a clue about setting it up how I want it, and probably some questions about it on the forum as well for when I break it. Off to bed now, one or possibly two sleep until I get to sit in it☺☺
