If you’re not driving for a while

Featured Replies

Semi-retired, not driven the car since last Sunday, So earlier today I used an Optimate charger, which ‘saved’ a (surprise to me) depleted battery and then charged it.   Tonight I drove it 4 miles of A road, braking heavily once or twice to clean any build up on the discs and then left it on my almost level driveway, in Park with the electronic handbrake off and a stone brick in front of each rear wheel to protect the DSG box. Hopefully doing this will leave essential petrol and clearer roads for our key workers and occasional ‘ Optimating’  will keep it in good nick until we can get back to normal routines.

Went out in mine (first time since Sunday) and noticed that the old I-pod which stays in the car was flat and not playing at all.
