Unclipping Things - Without Breaking Them

Featured Replies

So want to remove the sun visors, shades holder and interior lights.

So can unscrew the sun visors but they still have clips in place, best way to remove without breaking said clips.

(I was looking at removing the interior but that can wait till I find out if I have 2 weeks off etc)

It's all part of cleaning it.

The only advice I can offer is, based on experience, make sure that the plastic parts are warm (use a hairdryer on low if necessary) otherwise the plastic tabs will have a tendency to crack and not bend. If you have access to any photos or drawings of the items e.g. Elswin online then you may be able to see where the securing tabs are and the best way to remove them. I bought a set of plastic trim removal tools from Ebay that have been useful.
