hope someone on the site can guide me in the right direction.

The alternator on my Octavia needs to be replaced and found this forum looking for tutorials on how to remove the old one. However I can't seem to find a description of anyone removing one from a 1.6 2017 model. Can you tell me if I'm right? That there isn't any description of such in here because then I won't spend anymore time looking.

I am not a motorhead and being from Denmark with no interest in car parts only cars I might not know all the right terms and places to search in here. Bear with me.

Welcome Sara to the forum, first question is it the 1.6Tdi diesel engine and is it a manual or DSG (auto) gearbox which will help with answers. Also if your is a 2017 model is it not under warranty, less than 3 years old or covered less than 100,000km from new (60,000 miles in the UK). I appreciate the Skoda dealers may be closed in Denmark as most are in the UK at the moment.

The warranty sadly doesn't cover it anymore.
