[Retrofit] Rear electric window

Recommended Posts

hello,

i retrofited rear electric window (from mechanical to electric pulling). the rear windows work fine for me. driver motor window is also changing (from 5JA 959 811 K to 6V1 959 801 B), modified I have a complete wiring according to the diagram. and there is a problem

coding changed according to another car with electric rear windows.

I already have a visible motor for the driver's door (left-hand drive) in the list of units

398023772_Snmkaobrazovky(16).png.d7b635ddc335d0ad4e35ace13d8d6d57.png

the problem is that the driver's window reacts in the opposite way (if I press "up", the window goes down. if I press "down", the window goes up. I don't know where the error is. I don't have another engine to test yet.

is it still possible to modify the encoding somewhere? in unit 09 for FHSG DRV, despite the original cable, I do not have a description of bytes and bits. coding is the same as another car with the original engine

full scan (errors unit 17 and 5F is from another modifiing):

same **** hapens to me few monts ago working on golf 5..related to motor version,I wasnt able to find original motor to fix it,coding didnt help to..Iam not sure is it UK /EU version of motor but some similar **** ...after few hours of fight I rewire the switches..IF you have schematic by hand you will see that for UP position there is resistance between pins forexample 120 ohm for DOWN position there will be 250 ohm..so change switches and all is fine..but you need to do it on both switches...just for test try comfort locking the car and keep key in locked position few seconds..does windovs go UP ?

A friend sacrificed his car today and allowed his window-pulling engine to be tested.

It works properly for me, so the connection is good. My engine in his car didn't work properly and behaved the exact opposite.

The wiring, the buttons are correct accordingly. The fault will only be in the engine. Mine is Made in Germany, its Made in Slovakia. Depending on the forum, you need to upload another dataset. Can anyone do this remotely for a job? Via ODIS or VCP or VCDS?

I would like to finally finish it ...

yep as I wrote wrong motor..that is reason why Iask for comfort test...hapens to me few times..wrong motor..

is there way to change sw in motor controler I realy have no idea..but on few golf5 I manage to change motor wires..remove that metal housing and look can you exchange position of 2 contact feed for motor..

you read somewhere that VCD can do that ?..well never try with vcp..next time for sure

Yesterday I received another engine, which I thought would be correct according to the sign in the bottom line of the BEP. This is exactly the designation of the engine positioned from a friend's car for a test and it worked properly.

I also compared the coding, everything is the same ...

This is the third engine from the third "store" and neither of them works properly. No attacks?

Hi,
I still don't have those windows solved. I pull the driver's window in the opposite direction, ie by pressing the button up.
Can't it be a problem that I once changed the BCM bought for Allegro and I don't know what car it came from? maybe nonsense, but I was wondering if anyone has coding BCM and window units from the English version (steering wheel on the right). wouldn't that help turn the whole window control system on?

well thank you

in the end it didn't bother me, i tried to order another, another window download engine. managed to! physically the engines are the same, this one had according to the seller designation for the right front door, I do not understand why, when the number fits the left front (left-hand drive)
the important thing is that it works. I still don't understand the given logic, I didn't change the coding after replacing the motorbike, it remained the original one
in Slovak I wrote it as an article for a complete addition of rear electric windows, maybe it will help someone ....

the problem is solved after a year and a half :)

Great guide; fantastic detail and presentation.

I think to make the motor go in the opposite/correct direction, there is no need to re-wire anything on the rotor, you just need to rotate the metal motor housing round by 180°, as it contains permanent magnets.

I only discovered this recently while watching a youtube video of someone repairing a window motor on some other brand of car.  He said to mark the housing relative to the plastic parts so that it went back the same way as it came off 'or the motor would turn the wrong way'.
