The control of offside mirror does not work on my 2012 Roomster, is there a common fault with these mirrors ?

My 2011 octavia vrs mirrors don't work at all no indicators no adjustments and ne heat doing my nut in been told its drivers window motor and door lock module by an vag specialist and an auto electrician 

 

Could be broken wires in the driver's and/or passenger's door loom (the rubber cover between the car body and the door cheek).  Pull them back and have a good look.
