If you want to ask about firmware updates, this thread is not the place. Go look for the appropriate Amundsen or Bolero threads and ask for their help there.

  • So I can confirm that it works using a Mac. I used the tip from freelunch and got the CleanMyDrive2 app.

PS - I cannot offer any firmware files - there are other members on the forum who can.  Find the thread for your radio system first and post your screenshot of your system there and await a response.

  • Not really - the UI is smoother.  It fixes a whole load of Bluetooth glitches and Android/Carplay gotchas....and generally makes the system work properly.

What is your current firmware?

When I first bought the car it was 245. Then I increased it to 253 but it doesn't go up to 480.

That will be your problem. You are only on SOP2.x firmware. Version 480 is SOP4.x, so not compatible.

I live in Turkey and our vehicles here have 1 SD card slot. That's why I received information that the updates on these vehicles will be up to 253 at most. Thank you for the information you provided.

**Updated Feb 2024**

[..]

Your step-by-step instructions are great, thanks! It updated the Skoda Kodiaq MIB2.5 2020 from P0478T to P0480T.

I have used a regular 64GB SD Card, formatted (W11) exFat 4096kb. And used W11 7-zip to unpack the file from mib helper.

As in your instructions: I did not start the car, nor did I turn 'the car on'. Car was on a charger.

The last notion during the update process was a message 'that the system will turn on after 60 seconds'. As mentioned in your instruction you have to press the button itself (I did wait for approx 100 seconds) and after that it started and all works like a charm!

It took less than 15 minutes in total (and a lot more time research before hahaha) .

Couple of quick questions please..

I'm running a MIB2 Amundsen from a Yeti in my Mk2 Superb (i.e The 'full' headunit model, not display in console with the main unit in the glovebox).
I quite regularly get Android Auto disconnects (it drops connection and tries to use Mirror Mode, fails, then goes back to Smart etc) so wanted to know if it's possible to upgrade the firmware & software and if so, what 'model' do I need to be looking for.
Also, I assume that if upgrading's possible, it won't lose the Android Auto/Carplay licensing or is this something that can be re-enabled via VCDS?

Device Part Num: 5L0035680C
Hardware: H22
Software: 0253

Thanks!
