Superb iV 2020 tail chrome strip

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, just got mk4 Superb and because of dealer short  knowledge i bought a car without rear chrome line (dealer told standart incmuded but when car was delivered was found it is not standard). So, question.

I have OE of center strip, but missing side strip. Maybe someone knows oe nr?

Center chrome OE 3V5853098A 2ZZ

I found sides in Germany what means possible to by separately, but seller doesnt reply (((

Thank you

Welcome

There is no MK4 Superb, the iV refers to the fact it is a hybrid, what you have is a facelift MK3.

Clear, will change topic name.

No mention of `MK 4` in topic, so fine as is.

Yes. Ok. Thats clear. What about chrome strip?

Chrome strip may be related to the version. Do you have a SE? To me, it may be available only on L&K (needs to be verified).

Side strip may belong to tails lights. May not be ordered separately? You'll probably need to change the tail lights to get the chrome strip.

Note: I'm not sure, I'm just guessing 🤔

Black available in Germany, but seller replied only one time with half answers, so, iam afraid to order there. Acc. to that picture i make conclusion each part has own OE only i don't have  2020 ETKA catalogue to check((

I've been trying to find a place that will sell these bits!!!

I would've thought the Chrome on the taillight would b part of the assembly.

The boot one looks like its attached/clipped on.

@Kotopes - do u have a link to that website, please?

thank u for the link @Kotopes.

yes, i can see why they've got the support plate, otherwise it would b tricky to mount the strip across.

looking at the current design on my boot, it appears that this support bit sits on top in the gap, matching the existing rear numberplate lights and RVC+button open.

the tail light ones r a nice simple stick-on 🙂

problem is the cost - 180 euro for the middle bit, and 50 euro for each taillight, bring the total to almost 300 euros for some chrome strips!!!!
olly molly.

and they'll probably charge me another 200 euro just to ship to australia!!

Pay attention, there also holes for tge bolts or clips, probably your trunk as mine doest have extra holes what means need to be drilled.

Try to find in AU locally, here is OE central strip NR 3V5853098A 2ZZ.

I'm sure double sided tape will hold it securely in place.

Just gotta make sure the RVC and lights r properly aligned to the bracket holes.

Fat chance of sourcing this part in Australia - we don't even have the facelift model reach our shores yet.

It's so weird how Aus doesn't have the face lift, but NZ has had it since Nov/Dec 2019

Usually we're last in the world to get anything..

Unfortunately its because Skoda Australia is under the realm of VW Australia 😞

hence we don't have freedom like u guys over in NZ.

VW Oz needs to protect & do wats best for their own models before allowing Skoda any freedom to the market here.

It's the same in NZ, one group controls all the VAG vehicles: https://www.linkedin.com/company/european-motor-distributors

The interesting thing is we don't appear to get the Passat (Sedan or Wagon) here anymore, whereas you guys can still get the Passat. It's like VW NZ are focused on the small hatch and suv segment of the market now.
