Kerb weight

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any idea of the weight of thier car?

I'm trying to work out the weight of my 18 plate vrs dsg tdi hatch.

Any ideas? Other than Google saying 1395kg

That sounds about right as my 17 plate 245 manual was listed as 1,370kg and the DSG box normally adds 25kg. However the diesel Vrs should be heavier than the petrol.;)

Take it to a weigh bridge! I was told the kerb weight stated by Skoda might be a bit on the low side compared to how other manufacturers work it out. Are you wanting to tow?

Tow?! Oh no, I'm trying to accurately set up the Torque app hahahahahaa

Look at your V5 certificate 🙄

Issue with Apps and Kerb Weight is you are not driving at Kerb Weight depending on your weight, passengers, fuel,  etc.

Then Skoda's kerb / unladen weight is a basic car without options.

I'd go with what the sticker on the inside of your door says

Yeah and add weight for fuel, passengers, stuff in car, fluids.

For info, my O3 1.8 tsi dsg7 was weighted during tech inspection at 1450kg (so with fuel and 1 passenger).

Full tank of fuel is just over 40kg.

There isnt a weigh bridge near me that I know of and I'm not sure if the scrap yards are open.

The interweb says the car is 1395kg from factory, I allow 100kg for myself, 100kg for my passenger, 60kg for fuel and fluids and 20kg for the stuff in the boot, the spare wheel and the car seats.

Putting this into the torque app seems pretty accurate (it's only for bhp and torque readings! Yes, I'm a big child)

I'll post a screenshot of the readings from the app
