Got 63 reg 1.2 tsi which I had serviced and I reset the next service by the usual turning ignition off, pressing the info button and then releasing the button and the normal 9400 miles ans 365 days.

Now i get an inspection bong and spanner sign on the display when I start the car. How do I only reset and zero the inspection notice without resetting the fixed service time and date? The car is NOT a maxidot display. The car was previously programmed for variable servicing so can it only be corrected with a laptop?

I have sorted the problem. I read somewhere that you put the hazards on when using the same procedure for setting the oil change service and it worked. No bong or spanner on ignition on. Strangely the next inspection is in 365 days or 32200 miles time.
