What do you mean? You can buy stickers to add if you really want that don't do anything...

Ok I was actually able to make one of the blanks functional.

cut few plastic stoppers and it works!

I was able to remove the left side switches, but the right side is being a pain in zee a55.  Won't unclip.

 

I've purchased a start-stop memory thingy that needs to intercept the plug. 

So I tried to do some practice, while it's in transit.

Interesting. Do you have the wiring diagram? I didn't find it yet to do the same.

As far as I know - it's plug'n'play.

 

Remove the switch assembly, unplug the connector, plug one end of start-stop device to car connector, and plug the other end to switch assembly.

@GArfieldMK3 Hi, so you are saying those blank buttons are actual buttons that work as intended if you just cut some plastic tips under them(ofc theyre not illuminated but thats not a problem)? I am interested in retrofitting Driving modes and i dont know if i have to buy the entire module with the buttons on the left side or its just enough to cut the pieces underneath it(like you said 5 years ago) :)
