Door Control Unit

My door control unit (the one attached to drivers door window motor) has corroded pins with 2 down to small nubs. I'm really struggling to source a new unit which I think probably only comes with a new motor.

 

Is anyone breaking a car or know where I can get a new unit?

Quickest way I found is the Octavia Facebook group, much as I hate the platform it can be useful as I’m seeing car being sold daily along with breaking them too.

If you know the part number, German ebay usually has them on, it's where I got mine from.

Search Mk1 Octavia vrs and join all the English ones.

You must match the FULL part number exactly as there are different versions, they look identical but if the part number is slightly different it WILL NOT work. If you cannot read the full number off your sticker then get it from a dealer parts department. I found this out the hard way!! PS. I have a brand new one sat here that is wrong for mine so if you find your part number drop me a line.
