Sunshade magnet broken

Featured Replies

I was trying to put on the rear sunshade on my superb and I found that the magnet was broken and I was unable to put it on. What should I do now ? The black one is okay and the silver shiny one is broken it is unable to hold the shade and I don’t know where that black piece had gone

The pale piece is covering the magnet I reckon, and is probably just a bit of metal with white double sided tape that's failed.

So the white bit should be attached to the sunshade, just compare both bits of the shade to see what's missing?

If the magnet is lost, just go into a shop where you can buy magnets for white boards for offices.

Then just cut one of them at the required size and try to stick it with a glue gun in the housing where the one is missing.

The trick is to find the right magnet. Strong enough to hold the shade, but weak enough not to damage anything (remaining stuck in its housing / not tearing the shade upon removal).
