Skoda Connect notification after starting the engine

Featured Replies

I've just recently bought a new Scala and got the Connect app all set up however now every time I turn the engine on I get a notification on my radio display saying something along the lines of "Name Surname can now track the car movement" and it doesn't go away until I touch the screen or press OK button. Is there a way to turn this popup off or is this just something I have to live with?

I've been looking through the menus but couldn't find anything about it and while it's not the end of the world I find it kind of annoying to have it appear every time I start driving.

Hi,

I have the same in my Kamiq.

Just received the answer from my dealership: "Sorry something you have to live with….". So probably here is no solution at least for now...

"Name Surname" is the user from Skoda Connect application. You can change the privacy setting from the drop menu in the MIB , but then you can't track the car from the application.

You can disable this setting, but it's not solve the initial "issue".

In the same vain got my Scala in Jan this year for the first 10 weeks i got plagued with a screen asking to update the software, No matter how many time I told it to update it refused to go away. Well at the start to lock down it mysteriously went away.

As we are now hopefully starting to climb out of Kovid lock down the blinking software update screen is back.  Is this a coincidence or is something scary  lurking in the background to force me into a Skoda dealers.

Seriously if you know of a cure please advise.
