Fabia mk2 1.4 16v oil catch can

Hi everyone I’m new to this forum. I want to add an oil catch can to my Fabia. It’s a 2011 1.4 16v cggb Fabia. I’ve seen some tutorials on turbo cars but I’m afraid it won’t be the same for my case. Can someone please point me to the hoses I’m supposed to link/replace with the oil catch can?🙏🙏 photos would be amazing, but I can manage with parts names and if someone can point me where they are.

 

I have added some photos from the workshop manual if it can help someone direct me.

Oil mist goes into the big hole by o-ring 17, gets centrifuged inside, oil drips out of the liquid outlet by o-ring 18, back into the sump. The de-misted vapour comes out via hose 28 to the inlet manifold just under the throttle body. A PCV diaphragm valve controls the flow rate so there isn't excessive flow at light throttle operation or idle.

If you have reason to suspect that the car has been neglected with respect to oil servicing, check for oil leaks first. If you find any, it may be evidence of that system becoming blocked up by degraded oil. Unlikely on a car of this relatively young age, I hope.

@Ranf, why were you thinking about fitting an oil catching system, is it because that engine is "using" engine oil?

 

These engines of that sort of age did have issues with one of the oil separator O-ring seals failing and a new version was made available and some people got them replaced while still under warranty - ie they complained about oil appearing on the underside of the manifold area and maybe even dropping down onto the floor/ground. I cleaned up the underside of the manifold and other wetted areas, and bought a pair of new O-ring seals - but never got round to fitting them before that car was sold, though that small amount of oil was making a mess but not enough to show up as it "using" oil.

 

What I did do to cut down oil usage on an earlier version of that engine, was to replace the oil separator, and that cut back the oil usage and the engine pinkiing under light loads.
