Reversing camera static car image facing wrong way?

Featured Replies

Is it me or is the static image on the reversing camera screen facing the wrong way. Surely the static image should be shown in the same direction AS THE CAMERA IMAGE.

That seems normal to me, and makes sense to me.

The camera image shows the view out of the back of the car.

The outline of the car shows the proximity to ensors all around the car,  it would be very odd if that was upside down.

Many thanks. It’s just that all my others cars had the static car showing sensors as a split screen and not overlaid onto the camera display. This threw me a bit. You are right of course.

pretty normal. the car image would need to be upright since it's relative to the driver position.

plus, the front sensors might not make complete sense being upside down if you drive the car forward during reverse parking.

Quite intuitive to me, sitting behind the wheel, looking forward and into mirrors and camera screen.
