dtuk fsr+ installation

Featured Replies

As titled installing a dtuk fsr+ box. Regarding the long cabled booster connection just wondering if someone.eone can give me some pointers where it actually goes.

Instructions not very clear and the only video on YouTube is a golf for the petrol engine and you have to jack the car up which I'm not in a position to do. Does the octavia require to be jacked up or can you do it from above? No mention in Instructions about jacking it up but then it's an audi on the leaflet..

Also, mentions about connecting the box to the battery/earthing on the bulkhead in the golf vid but again nothing about that in the leaflet,  plus I don't have a wire for that anyway so might be buggered before I start?

Battery wiring is only for an older type - ignore it.

The boost sensor connects at the front of the engine, just near the bottom of the radiator. You can drive the car onto a kerb, or up on to blocks or something if you can't jack it up.

You will need to remove the undertray - a few torx screws at the front and each side - to access the boost sensor. It may be possible to do without raising the car - I just used some railway sleeper offcuts I had, with some 3x2 in front to drive up.

On the back edge of the connector there's a little locking clip you need to undo, its the same on the DTUK connector so have a look at that 1st
