My 2007 1.6 FSI will now and then rattle from engine for a few seconds start up then go ok only when engine cold and not ran for at least 8 hours. It doesn't do it all the time in fact it is can go months without doing it.

Car has done 108000 miles  using 5w/40 fully synthetic vw 502.00/505.00

Changing oil and filter every 10000 miles or 12 months which ever comes first I do about 9000 miles a year 

mines the same intermittently been the same for 7 years.
