Yet more problems with the vrs.

Featured Replies

This will be the 3rd time its been into the service garage for problems. 1st time it went in grinding brakes, sticking heater screen switch and colour coming off the vrs badge, second time it went in because one night i stopped at a layby to look at some flowers for someone who had died, left hazzards on and locked the car, unlocked, tried to start her and it just turned over, stopped tried agen and it fired up with the coil light flashing and engine management light on, went into the garage to be diagnosed as a intermittent electrical falut or potential fual pump relay fault, got the codes cleared and all was well, went to southend last night not to race, stopped the car as normall, got back in it a few hours later and it does it again, but this time it doesnt fire up and just keeps turning over, got ontime recovery to come out 2 hours later at 3.30 in the morning on southend seafront, he hops in and it starts, so now i look like a penis but still has warning lights flashing, once the car is running its fine, it just throws a hissy fit sometimes and doesnt want to start, i cant work it out. Anyone got any idea's. Its a spot on car but i just seem to have so much bad luck.

P.S oh and now im getting a clicking from the front when im moving very slowly and dab the brakes slightly wtf

And the second time it went in they said it can have something to with the 4 amps in the boot, something about all the frequencies in the boot effecting the ecu or something, i dont know if thats bullcrap or not.

Completely off topic matey, and im sorry to hear you have had these problems - but do you mind if i ask where abouts in the South East you are? And what are the details on your vRS, how old is it and how many miles do you have on the clock?

get rid of the amps in the boot!!

Sounds like crap, but without fault codes or something to go on its pretty difficult to know what to say.

which is why i said get rid of thre amps. if they say it is the amps prove em wrong!

you shouldnt have them any way...a bit boy racer dont ya think? or ch4v? not sure

I wouldnt say upgrading the ICE is 'boy racer' or 'ch4v'.

Im not trying to make anyone jelouos just looking for advice. But dont get me wrong, it took some brain power to fit all that in.

Got a call from skoda today, they have looked at it and it turns out it needs a new crank position sensor, i dont have any luck with these sensors, had the same prob on my old vauxhall. But lets hope it doesnt happen again.

If it does, take the amps out, wait for it to do it again then go and poke the dealer with a very big pokeing device of much pokeyness :)
