I'm with Alex - it's sailing awfully close to Barry Boy territory. However, what is one person's good taste is horrifically bad to others. That's why we're all different I guess. For me there's a very fine line with cars between tasteful and tacky. Not that I'm saying anything robbie_fabia has done/is going to do is tacky!

But why bother with those? What's the point in modifying the engine, you'll still spend 80% of your time stuck in traffic or having to obey speed limits!

And as for alloy wheels...a full set of steels costs less than one average quality one, and leaves you more money to buy better quality tyres, which *will* actually improve the handling...

Rob i bought my alloy wheels with a set of tyres better than the current ones on my car at a price cheaper than a new set of tyres so a good buy IMHO, engine mods for me mean greater ease of overtaking smoother cruising on the motorway and a quicker response when moving out into traffic

Howard glad to see someone agrees with me want to share my bomb shelter?

I wouldn't say this sort of thing is to my personal taste either, but its great to see someone being adventurous with the Fabia and trying new things.

by the way all I do take on board the fine line between being a "boy Racer" and the tacy and subtle look but I am more into styling than engine mods as in my lovely isle of emerald car insurance is the highest in the world hence i am paying now after renewal
