Superb trim considerations 2018/19

Featured Replies

Hey there,

I am looking for a fairly new mk3 2018/19.

I've read a bunch of reviews and seen the 2.0 TDI engine is well regarded. I've also been looking at the se technology and se executive trims.

Any issues to be aware of on those elements of those models? Any thoughts on the trims and preferences?

Thanks,

Myles

How many miles do you do a year? Personally I am looking for a 2.0 TSi as I have had my time with diesels.

Thanks for the message.

I probably do 7 to 10,000 a year. Alot of about town and occasional longer drives 400 mile round trips maybe a few times a year.

So about £400 a year difference between petrol and diesel (at a guess). Assuming you are not towing I would personally look at (or test drive) a petrol.

Regarding trim level, I am a sucker for toys and aesthetics so am looking only at L&K  & Sport-line models but its all personal choice.

Are you bothered about leather, heated seats, adaptive cruise control etc?

With that kind of mileage surely petrol would be better suited? (Than diesel)
