Hello everybody; I’m Dave and I’m new here. Actually I’m new to forums in general. Recently got my first Skoda: a 16 plate Octavia III combi vRS 4x4 that I’m absolutely in love with... and we all got put into lockdown right after I got her home 🤦‍♂️. So as yet I still haven’t had the chance to take her off for any of the nice long road trips I had been planning on, but hey better safe than sorry right? Besides, I’ve still been having plenty of fun just rolling her round locally. She’s quite the step up from the knackered 17 year old fiesta I’d been running previously 😂. Looking forward to taking part in some of the discussions on here, and eagerly anticipating being able to pick peoples brains for any advice and tips they have. Yeh in fairness the fiesta was a good little workhorse mate. Rarely let me down and cheap as chips to live with. Just really fancied treating myself to a change as I haven’t had a nice motor since I parted ways with my mk4 Golf Gti many moons ago; and managed to convince the Mrs using the old “I know it’s the vRS but it’s an estate so it’s actually just a family car”. May have had my fingers crossed too when I said I wouldn’t be remapping her... 😬
