Bolero and Swing+

Featured Replies

Please can someone tell me if the two units are interchangeable? I used to have a 2017 Fabia which had a Bolero, I now have a 2020 Fabia which has a Swing+. The Bolero was ,in my mind, far superior and I am wondering if I can replace the Swing with a Bolero. There is a push out in the glove box, so I'm thinking it might be possible depending on what's behind the screen.

It can be done but as dashboard is different you need either to have dashboard replaced (expensive!!!) or reworked (requires some tools and manual skills) or you have to install SD reader in a different place, e.g. in glove box which requires extra harness to be used. Approximate costs 500 GBP.

Thanks pab567, when I found the cut out in the glove box I thought it might be possible, but looks like I'm stuck. Just seems a very retrograde thing for skoda to do. The bolero notified me when a text arrived and read them out aloud, the swing won't do any of that.

Is it possible to upgarde to either Swing+\Bolero or Amundsen ?

I do not know if Smart Link as that is what i am interested in worths investing in changing swing.

I own a Fabia MK III with Swing. Maybe a software update for Swing ?

Thank you

I have no SW update for Swing at all 😞

Thank you pab567

Most likely this is the last and up to date one.

What about upgarde to either Swing+\Bolero or Amundsen ? Does it worth and how hard is it ?
