Timing belt replacement

Featured Replies

Hi

My car is over 10 years old so I've decided I want to replace the timing belt as i don't know the full service history of the car.

My car is a MK2 Fabia with the 1.4 BXW engine.

I have took the top cover off the belt to see the condition of the belt and I've noticed the cam locking points look like they are off set, the engine still drives fine I'm guessing with the different size in gears it will it need quite a few turns on the crank shaft to get it lined up or does this look completely offset?

Any help would be great :)
