Hello everyone.

 

My air conditioning makes whining noises when running. Not all the time.

Is it time for a new compressor or could it be just low coolant.

Could be either but how cool does it go? When was it last re-gassed? Is it climatronic or climatic A/C? ( digital automatic, or manual). If you can put in as much information about the cars model, year etc it may help.

The car is a 2013 1.2 3 cylinder.

It was last regarded around 2 years ago, the cooling performance varies, it is a manual system.

It's only noisy when operating,.
