How do you remove the plastic shell from a Mk1 Octavia door mirror? The Haynes manual is as helpful as usual 😞 I've got the glass out okay, but don't see how to separate the shell from the rest of the mirror.

Very easy is you look at it and look for the screws.

 

I recently did it and took no more then 10 mins

2 screws at the bottom, and 4 screws I think behind the glass (torx) and the plastic covers lifts away.
