updating infotainment Maps

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

first post here so trying not to make mistakes. I am trying to update my maps on the infotainment system. I did it a couple of years ago with few problems today nothing but messages saying the card contains nothing. As with these things the card could be corrupt so can I format it or is it a skoda special card with a propriety software etc? I am lost so any help gratefully received. I don't want to go to my local Skoda dealer with the potential for Covid etc so any support gratefully received. Malcolm

Amundsen or Columbus?

MIB1 or MIB2?

I believe its an Amundsen based on the VIN number it also tells me that I have no updates so I assume there have been none from 2014?

It also looks like it might be a faulty SD card as someone that purchased her car at the same time has updated with no problems.

At the moment all it tells me there is nothing on the card, I also checked it was in the open position on the switch.

2015 is the changeover from MIB1 to MIB2 (my early 2015 is a MIB1 but build from IIRC May 2015 were MIB2) - it's important because they use different maps.

Is it a genuine Skoda SD card? The Amundsen won't accept maps on a "normal" SD card.

If the VIN search tells you there are no updates, then what exactly did you download? And what's the part number on the SD card?

Good morning gents, it looks like I may have lashed this up right royally, I formatted the disk so it looks like its off to the dealer this week. I attach a photo of the SD card .

Many thanks for your support
